"...we conclude the year with hearts full of gratitude for you, and with great anticipation for what we can do together in the new year."

Merry Christmas, Friends,

May it bring as much joy to you as it does for me that we are on the Advent journey, waiting anew the arrival of the baby Jesus. Yet, even though the Advent season is rooted in waiting and reflecting, we all know that there are things that cannot wait. Some of those we serve cannot wait to flee from natural disaster or persecution. We must act immediately if we get a call from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement asking if we can help with transportation or other needs for asylum seekers. Sometimes it is an area family here in south Texas that suffers in a way that requires immediate response to feed parents and children.

Whether the need is immediate or longer term, you partner with us with prayer and treasure. We can report to you that we served hundreds of God’s children through another year of our ministries here. As has been the case for decades now, we conclude the year with hearts full of gratitude for you, and with great anticipation for what we can do together in the new year.

I kneel in awe at the manger as I seek to wrap my heart around the grace of God among us in the form of a baby. From that infant to the resurrected Lord, may the miracle of it all launch us into a 2022 fueled by love.

Your brother in Christ,

Feliberto Pereira
