Dear Friends,
This fall, Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries continues to live out the call of Christ to welcome the stranger, feed the hungry, and offer hope to the weary. Through the compassionate generosity of our partners and friends, we have been able to serve a good number of individuals and families seeking help, dignity, and a new beginning.
Among them is a father from Honduras, his wife, and their four children. After being processed by ICE and Homeland Security, and having miraculously escaped cartel violence in both Honduras and Mexico, they arrived at our ministry with little more than their faith. Through your support, SWGSM provided safe housing, food assistance, and access to legal counsel. Today, the family is thriving in Los Fresnos — their children enrolled in school, their faith renewed, and their hearts full of gratitude. They are active, baptized members of our local church and a living testimony of God’s mercy and restoration.
In addition to serving disenfranchised individuals, these past months have been a time of renewal at our ministry campus. Thanks to the faithful giving of our partners, we’ve made long-needed upgrades at the campground — new roofs, central A/C units, fresh paint, insulation, updated furniture, new doors and knobs, and more. These improvements not only strengthen our facilities but also refresh the spirit of those who visit and serve here.
As we look ahead to our 40th Anniversary Celebration in 2025, we give thanks for every hand and heart that has joined in this mission. You are helping us prepare a place of refuge and renewal where God’s love continues to shine.
Thank you for your prayers, your gifts, and your faithfulness. Together, we are living out the Gospel in action.
